Money, money, money!

A super duper prize today (I actually received the Winning Email ages ago but the cheque took forever to arrive, and then it took me ages to collect it from the Post Office!) - my biggest win for some time! Thanks to Jane at the fabulous Compers Grapevine who gave subscribers a heads up on a promotion inside special 'Fantastic Mr Fox' DVDs - all I had to do was enter my name and email address on the Tesco website, and I won a £500 runners up prize... a gratefully received addition to my maternity allowance!

Right then, I've been busy entering competitions that require a bit of storytelling - and a bit of public support! So hopefully I might have some blog readers who could help me out with these...
First up, there's a competition over at the lovely Ben Wakeling's blog - 'Goodbye Pert Breasts - the diary of a newborn dad' (a brilliant read!). I've submitted my embarrassing mum story - inolving a breast pump - and you can vote for it as your favourite here - simply click 'Di' and then 'Vote'! There's nine prizes on offer I think, so there's a good chance I'll pick up a useful baby item! I think I'm currently in 4th place... it closes on 18th June.

Books, Bibs & Blink

Ah, after a lovely relaxing week (apart from the baby waking up 4 times every night!!) at a cottage in Abergavenny, I returned home to a LWE (long white envelope) - I've not seen one of those for a long time! JUst a small prize from an OK! Magazine phone-in competition, some Blink eye drops and £25 Waterstone's vouchers - I'll probably spend them on some sort of cookbook! I also received a WEM (winning email) from Claire at Jelly Nose Chic to say I've won 4 Bandana Bibs. Great timing, as Ryland is currently teething and producing vast amounts of drool... nice!
