Hampertastic!

I had some super news at the weekend from Emma - I've won the Kerrygold hamper in her recipe competition at her Bagladee Reviews site! Yippee, those cheddar cheese truckles won't last for long in thie house I can tell you. Of course, the chocolate will be winging its way over to JoJo in Japan, who pointed me in the direction of the competition - thanks Jo!

I also popped into the APC Express depot to fetch a parcel which turned out to be a selection of Hipp Organic baby foods with a bowl and bib set, a prize from Mother & Baby magazine. Luckily the best before dates aren't till 2010!

Kerrygold Garlic Butter on my shopping list!

I've just spotted a tasty hamper giveaway on Emma's Bagladee Review website!

To enter, I need to concoct a recipe using Kerrygold garlic butter and post it here on my blog - I've adapted one of my favourite Spanish tapas dishes for this! Now I feel hungry, and nothing to eat in the house except Doritos and McVities biscuits... argh!

Garlic Mushrooms with Sherry

Take 400g of mixed mushrooms (you can use button and chestnut, or try some exciting wild ones like oyster & chanterelles) and chop roughly. Heat two 20g portions of Kerrygold garlic butter in a pan and add one small chopped onion. Cook gently for about 10 minutes, then turn up the heat and add the mushrooms. Cook for about 5 minutes until soft, then add 150ml sherry (fino or amontillado - not Harvey's Bristol Cream!) and a pinch of nutmeg. Finally, stir in a handful of chopped flat leaf parsley and season to taste.

Yum!

Fluttering my eyelashes....

Not much of a surprise to receive one of these today, as there were 7,000 mascaras to be won! Still, I make a point of NEVER paying for mascara so it's gratefully received... thanks Rimmel!

Prizes today:
Rimmel The Max Mascara - £6.49

Total 2009 prize value:
£9,674

mummytips competition: The Earls Court Baby Show

Haven't had chance to blog for ages due to having far too much work on, and then a wonderful 5 day trip to Valencia (oh, and I hadn't won any prizes to tell you about either!) But I've just seen this FAB competition at www.yummymummytips.com to win Baby Show tickets and loads of baby goodies, so I've dusted off my rhyming dictionary and got my fingers crossed....
