Word Play

I recorded another game show today - this time live at lunchtime on the mighty Channel 5! Presented by Jenny Powell, 'Word Play' involves four contestants solving word puzzles. After each pair of rounds the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated... I made it through to the final round with Sean, but alas! he was far better than me on the 'Word Ladder' so he won the cash... however I got to return in 'Word Play Plus' where I romped to victory as the best rnner-up, and thus booked myself a place on a show later in the series. I'll practice my Word Ladders before then! All in all a fun day though, and Jenny was hilarious - so definitely worth doing!

Magnum moment

Woke up this morning to a winning text from Magnum - I've won a £10 Pleasure Card (not as thrilling as it sounds unfortunately!). My poor mother-in-law didn't get any Easter Eggs this year, just Magnums! This is one of those addictive comps where there's loads of prizes, every hour for 24 hours a day. Luckily my handset can be programmed to text in the middle of the night without me getting out of my lazy bed....

Every day at 9.15am I listen to Trent FM and solve their 'Emmagram' - an anagram of a Nottinghamshire town. I've been entering on five phones EVERY DAY for a fortnight and never got a call back, but today - finally! - they made it difficult and after much pondering I won fifty iTunes downloads....hurrah!
