1vs100

I spent today at BBC Glasgow recording '1vs100' with 99 strangers. Well, I say 'strangers', but one of them was the contestant who followed me when I recorded 'Are you smarter than a ten year old', and it was great to meet up with him again. I didn't get a chance to be 'the one' on the show (a blessing in disguise, as I would never have made it through the questions alive!), but had a great day out... I've since been scheduled in to appear on two more gameshows in the next 4 weeks so hopefully I'll pick up some cash from those instead!

It means nothing to me

A nice win today from the Metro newspaper website - two return flights to Vienna. Only valid till the 1st July though, so I'll have to work out when we can possibly squeeze in a trip there! Still, I've wanted to go there ever since I saw 'Before Sunrise' at the pictures, so I'm sure I can manage it... wonder if the big wheel's still there?

I finally managed to get through to Smooth Radio for their daily 'Double or Quits' competition today.. working my way up to £160 cash with my extensive knowledge of old universities and Jane MacDonald from 'The Cruise'. But then I decided to gamble on the £320 question...oh no!

True or False - In 'Carry on Camping', was Barbara Windor's bikini green?

Darn it! I googled as fast as I could, and it looked yellow to me... so I lost all my cash. I'll never be able to watch that film again!

And in today's post....waterproof merino socks. Just what I wanted. Actually, it probably IS just what I wanted - except they're size 9-11! Oh well... a prize is a prize after all... now I need another pair of socks to wear under them...

Ten British pounds

Just a small one to report today... a cheque for £10 for completing a music survey online at www.heart106fm.com - this involved listening to lots of Lionel Ritchie and Michael Jackson tunes. Now the question is, what to spend it on.....some first class stamps, M&S undies or a bottle of fine wine.... that's if I can even pay it into my account, since they made it payable to Diane (WHO?!!) - yuck!
